POLICY AND PROCEDURE
POLICY AND PROCEDURE
The following information details some of the key policies and procedures have been put in place to ensure that we are working as safely as possible for all patients, visitors, staff and colleagues. These policies and procedures form part of an extensive risk assessment process and are under constant review. Patient and visitor feedback is invited as part of this process.
If you or anyone in your household develops any symptoms of Coronavirus, including persistent cough, temperature or fever, loss of taste and/or smell, muscular aches that are not related to your injury, or general feelings of being unwell, between now and any appointment with us, you must contact us to let us know and to re-schedule your appointment. You and your household must have been been symptom free as a household for 14 days before attending an appointment with us.
When you book an appointment with us we will email an invoice to you so that you can prepay using internet banking.
We are accepting exact cash only.
Our receptionists are working remotely a lot of the time. Some are furloughed. For this reason we are not accepting card payments at the moment and no change is being given for cash payments (to help us to minimise risk). Any over-payment amounts will be held on account. Any prepaid invoices that are overpaid will be refunded via internet banking.
The forms that we require patients to complete are emailed in encrypted pdf format and will be sent to you before your appointment. If you are unable to complete these forms for any reason then a paper copy will be used when you arrive. Completing them at home and either returning them by email or bringing them with you printed out will help to minimise risk and to ensure the smooth running of appointments so please try to do this if you can.
The information that we supply to new patients in leaflet format will be sent to you as a pdf ahead of your appointment for you to read.
When you arrive to your appointment please wait in your car or on the driveway and call/email us to let us know you have arrived, leaving a message if you get through to our answer-phone. Please maintain 2 metre distancing from anyone else who is present.
Please do not knock or enter reception.
Please email or ring to let us know that you are outside.
If you need to bring someone with you to attend your appointment you must notify us in advance. Anyone who attends your appointment with you must comply with all policy and procedure.
Please wear a face mask to your appointment if you have one, or cover your mouth and nose with a snug fitting scarf. We will provide a disposable mask to those who need one.
Our chiropractors will be wearing PPE and will come to the front door when they are ready to see you.
You must wash your hands when you enter, and when you leave the clinic.
If possible/appropriate please arrive wearing comfortable clothing such as sports wear. If you are bringing clothes to change into please bring a suitable bag to put your original clothing into and leave in your change of clothes, do not change back into your original clothing.
PPE will be changed and treatment rooms and facilities will be cleaned in between patients.
For transparency we need to make it clear to you that we cannot maintain 2 metre distancing during treatments.
