Sophie graduated from the University of Gloucestershire in 2016 with a 2:1 (Hons) Degree in Sports Therapy and is now studying towards her Masters Degree in Sports Therapy to further enhance her skills and knowledge. Sophie is a member of the Society of Sport Therapists, and is passionate about the positive results that massage therapy can achieve.
Sophie’s enthusiasm about the benefits of massage therapy to aid recovery from injury and to enhance sporting performance is catching! Her cheerful and positive attitude enables her to quicky connect with patients to provide a tailored therapy service that achieves great results.
Her level 2 qualification in fitness instructing (gym-based exercise) is an addition skill that helps her to aid and manage the rehabilitation of sports injuries.
Sophie’s experience includes providing sports massage for the Tonga rugby team during the rugby World Cup 2015. She also provides pitch-side first aid and massage for her local home rugby union team.
Sophie has played many sports throughout her time in education, and has always had a healthy and active interest in exercise, but football has long been her main passion. From a young age she has played football and most recently she has enjoyed playing for the University of Gloucestershire football team.
